Jennifer and Phil had the most PERFECT day for their outdoor wedding at Harbor Lights in North Platte, Nebraska. I must say, I had a BLAST being a North Platte, Nebraska wedding photographer for the day! I think it’s such a beautiful and unique town and getting to shoot in new environments is always something that I enjoy!
Going into the day, I knew that it would be an emotional one for Jennifer. Family is SO important to her and having them there was essential. Sadly, her grandfather passed a few months prior and left a huge void in everyone’s hearts. While he didn’t physically get to be present, his spirit was certainly with them. Jennifer’s Grandma made a BEAUTIFUL garter set out of Grandpa’s old ties and pins and it could not have been more perfectly made. It was the perfect detail to add such a personal touch. Jennifer’s Grandma also let her borrow her mothers necklace that she remembers going shopping for with her dad many years ago. Phil had his Grandpa’s pocket watch and a re-soled pair of vintage shoes. While these are such beautiful and memorable details for the day, I love how they created special memories and conversations between them all as a family, for a new generation.
Jennifer and Phil were married outside of Harbor Lights where they were serenaded by Jennifer’s cousin from Montana, the sweetest kids ever paraded down the aisle, and their best friends and family witnessed their nuptials. They had such a lovely day and no detail was left untouched. I am SO excited to see their lives grow and to see what adventures they have in store for them!
