This summer I had the greatest job in the world…documenting a day in the life of the Foss Family at the Iowa State Fair. It was so much fun getting to spend the day with this crew as their oldest, whom was awarded Grand Champion Showman, showed his sheep for the day.
Now, anyone that knows me knows that I have a deep-rooted love for Iowa…all things Iowa. Including the 4H program and the Iowa State Fair. It’s the “best fair, anywhere”, if you will. The hardworking families of the midwest are incredible. They work together in all things, bust their butts, and are kind beyond measure. Showing your livestock and/or your 4H projects at the Iowa State Fair is a big deal. These kids have worked tirelessly and with deep love to raise healthy, show-worthy animals at the State Fair. They take pride in what they show and the hard work that they’ve put forth. I have so much respect and love for these families and kids as they’re learning great responsibility and hard work. They’re our future, and it makes me so proud to see these kids busting their butts.
I’m so excited to finally show these! To the Foss’…I adore you all. Thank you for letting me be a part of this portion of your life. Your hard working, loving, and supportive family is such an example to the rest of the world. See you next year! :)
